Some random observations:

-Walking on the river is really exciting, and if you're going against the wind it almost feels like an arctic exploration
-I'm really mature in the sense that I still love to play hide-and-go-seek
-I shed more than my dog does
-I have been to the grocery store 2 times in the past 2 days and each time I have forgotten to buy Ju-Ju Hearts (basically it ruins my life)
-I'm actually physically and mentally dreading Valentine's Day this year
-If my feet didn't freeze I would still be wearing flip-flops

So today was League Meet 5...
I did not PR throwing. I am not surprised due to the fact that I showed up almost passed out a few times and that I threw up last night. I just can't get the whole concept of throwing. As far as track goes they're considered slackers and while it might not be as strenuous it's definitely not easy to accomplish. Hurdling and jumping have always felt so natural because they're like an extension of running where as throwing simply is not. Oh and I'm going to sectionals for it even though I suck, high five.

On the plus side a lot of people PRed today. I spent all the time I was not running hanging out with various people, mostly the throwers of the male persuasion and there was a really nice girl who gave me some advice about how to suck less. We, being the me+throwing guys, worked to piss off dina so she would throw farther. You look like a blueberry! Well your hair looks stoopid! She got angry and faulted. We laughed because we knew she would and because we're evil. I really missed having Eichfeld there today but I bonded a little with Derocco while counting for/yelling at Katie during the 1500. All in all a very low stress fun meet. I guess the real work starts now, as in I would like to not suck as much by sectionals. Hooray for more time with the track coaches and throwing people extraordinaire!

So over the past few days I have burned all the music I have ever owned on to my computer and life is so good because of it. I stayed up until 3 in the morning yesterday just listening to everything. I have a new found appreciation for rap and what I would usually deem as skanky music. Ah music is so extremely wonderful. It's really amazing how a really good song can absolutely completely change my mood or make it worse. Maybe I'll even consider buying an mp3 player of some variety because I'm having seperation anxiety. Disco Inferno, Dashboard Confessional, Blink 182 ... it must be love.

Lessons on being a thrower:

-Looking and sounding ridiculous (as in sticking out your butt and grunting) is more than acceptable it is encouraged
-Covering your eyes and squeaking after throwing is not considered manly or beastly
-It is not suggested that you think about jumping, hurdling, running or anything remotely fun while throwing
-Singing instead of getting angry while throwing usually does not make the shot go any farther
-You don't actually throw anything you push it
-Throwing is the only event in track where you go backwards instead of forwards

On the plus side of this experience we did run a little and the last set of suicides felt really good stridewise. Ikefeld talked about opening a "can of whoop ass" when throwing. And Peters unknowingly saved my life by telling the giant crowd of spectators to cool down before I had to throw.

Time:10:34 am.
Ok I'm writing a real entry for the first time in months as part of my pre-New Years resolution to be less of a hermit.

So today was track and being a thrower again. No offense but they honestly don't run, I might try running with the guy throwers to see if it is any better and at least they go outside in the rain and don't complain. But more importantly today = physical therapy. I was very excited because hopefully that means less injured sooner so we went. It was like a gym. The physical therapist, whose name is Brendan, was extremely nice especially because my feet and socks were wet. And I kept swinging my legs in this really small room and kicking things by accident. But after poking and proding my leg I got to use .... the Muscle Stimulator! It was very tingly and staticky feeling and I kept moving around because I couldn't handle laying down at that time. And then Brendan and I had a discussion about the dead bugs in the light fixtures which you can view very well when lying down for the muscle stimulation. They looked like bees. There was an old woman marching on one of the tread mills on the way out. Oh and I almost hit a pedrestian while driving today. And I can't stop petting myself because I'm wearing a really soft shirt.

The End

Wow, so it's been a long time since I actually updated this thing.
Maybe it's because all my thoughts sound so whiny and I kind of wonder who would ever want to listen to them at all.
Well anyways....
Monday. Apple picking in the afternoon at Riverview possibly?
If anyone feels inclined then post or call I guess since I am no longer phobic of phones.

Subject:Such a good day!
Time:8:59 pm.
Ok so school you're not really that important.
But track today was amazing! So life was amazing. The weather was sooooo good today and then I had my pretty squeaky flats to run in. I PRed in all of my events and just about everyone PRed in something. Nisky JV girls pretty much owned that meet, too bad it wasn't a scoring event. Maura is really good at the 400 hurdles and maybe I've decided I like the 100 hurdles a lot even if I am a floater. That and we had a scavenger hunt for the blocks afterwards and a tailgate without food. "Hey look! Look at Peters! He has Kudos!" at which point he tried unsucessfully to hide the contraband and was jumped by our rabid team.
And there is good music in existence and not a lot of homework and it smells like grass outside.
So this Monday was actually very happy.

Subject:The love(s) of my life
Time:5:11 pm.
There are two of them.
When you rub them together they squeak.
If you take them out of their cage in front of an old lady at TJ Maxx she will glare angrily at you. Because apparently she does not approve of squeaky things.
PS Only person running two hurdling events tomorrow.
It doesn't get much better than this :)

Time:6:59 pm.
Mood: relieved.
It's over! HOOOOOORAY!
And maybe I only died a little bit. Thankfully Rome did not fall until 753.
And you know what this means. The rest of the year AP turns into the best class ever, not that it wasn't already, but movies, MUN simulations, maybe even a reenactment of Pacific Overtures? Life is so good :)

Time:11:09 am.
And so, unfortunately, it has finally dawned on me that I am taking the AP on wednesday. That i will die on wednesday. And that probably I will just run out of writing ability somewhere in the middle of the second essay and will have to just draw a sad face on the exam. Ok, so the whole year our class has pretty much been forewarned about every single essay so we knew what to write about by the earlier class on tests. And we have a track meet the night before. So it's going to be school, track meet, AP review straight after, cramming, test. And I have no right to complain because I decided to take the course and run track so I will shut up now.

But it's nice outside so life is good. With sun screen that is.

How could I have forgotten Earth Day?!!!
Unless Google is wrong but that is highly unlikely.
It might also explain the all day marathon of Captain Planet.

Subject:It's Sunny!
Time:10:29 am.
I am enjoying life.
Yesterday with trackies at the movies. It was pretty good while we were there. Previews for land before time, flip flap fly. Oh boy exciting. I'm pretty sure no one would ever believe that omar was even distantly related to me though(just act cool, they'll never notice). Hey Daddy, let's go! (never again shall I say that). I really enjoy skee ball (which was actually ice ball). I really suck at it but 34, 44, 54. Amazing. Also I think my mother and I can be friends about cars and keeping secrets. I want to go driving today. It's so nice outside. I am actually looking forward to the 1500 tomorrow! Woohoo! We have cranberry juice and really happy music. Life is so good.

In Toronto they have accomplished the impossible. They have turned Lord of the Rings into a musical
How can you cover all of that in only 3 and a half hours?
"The ring! The ring! It's such a heavy thing!"
This brings back memories of Glen Hills synchro.
Anyone interested in a sudden trip to Canada?

Time:10:41 pm.
So well... I'm really disappointed in myself.
I can not run a distance unless I know where it is going, even if random people are really nice about cheering at the end.
But really my mile time should probably just go kill itself.
Derocco: "Hey good job today!"
Me: *slams head against the wall multiple times* (no, no it was not)
Though my mom was nice and measured out the distance I run at home and it is in fact a little more than a mile. That is pretty cool of our house for being so perfect. Maybe I'll try to convince them to let me rerun it. How very cool of me.
Also it is really early and I even did all of my homework and read all of Night? That's insanity I say! Or maybe the result of the computer not working.

I really forgot why I loved outdoor so much. Might I say running outside is spectacular, even when it's disgusting and cold/raining/snow/ice/heat/really windy. In fact that makes it exciting, and running in the rain especially is pretty amazing. Oh and also I did not get lost in Niskayuna/Schenectady. Erin Montrello and I, Ellis=10 minutes there. Except she wouldn't run all the way there so I was running alone in Schenectady, I'm pretty sure I've been told horrible stories about people who did this. But I found Lexington Parkway and oh boy was I saved! And just as a side note, I am not going to have pinky toenails much longer. I think I might have to go shoe shopping. Hooray for sneakers!

I get so excited in anticipation of writing essays for AP Global that I actually skip around. I love the world. I love China for not being a colony. I love the phrase "Crown Jewel" in relation to wide scale poverty. I love elephant polo. I love western Europe and just how kind they are/were to the rest of the world. I feel like now might be time to reference "How to Start Your Very Own Rubber Trade (and take advantage of africans once again)". Oh enjoyable homework, what a concept.

Subject:As relayed from a small children's TV show...
Time:4:33 pm.
Once there was an owl.
And he was in love with a taxi meter, a purple fluorescent taxi meter.
Oh how I love you. How much do you love me?
25 pence
Could you love me more?
30 pence
But then the taxi cab driver had to practice his trumpet. So the beautiful purple fluorescent taxi meter died. Naturally the owl hops out of the taxi and begins to dance in a fit of rage along with the taxi driver's trumpet music. People throw money, because who wouldn't throw money at a dancing owl I ask you? The owl gives the money to the taxi driver and is reunited with his suddenly revived love.
How much do you love me?
50 pence.

Just as a sidenote: I am not a fan of Slovakia. Go Finland! :)

Time:4:43 pm.
For some reason or another AIM is not working.
I'm not terribly thrilled but I can't say that I'm freaking out about not talking to people either.
I really love reading. In my bathtub. That is shiny. And sometimes I exasperate myself because during the stressful part of books, even the shallow kind, I'm too impatient to read the reversal filler stuff and I just have to skip to the end. I am that concerned about what happens to the characters. I always go back and read the filler stuff but at the climax of the book I have to read the end.

On a different note. I hate my brother. I want to strangle him a little. And it's not even for something he's done to me, just because I think he is a truely terrible person and I don't really want to be related to him. He just uses people, like my grandmother and my mom, to get what he wants and he's not even thankful for it in the end. I can only take solace in knowing that someday he will be a ditch digger or something of equal caliber and I will still believe there is some justice in the world.
My mom says that I am like the angry elf/short author in the movie Elf.
At least I'm not an ungrateful little failure at life(it took a lot of restraint not to swear right there).
Oh, and by the way the geese are coming back!
Oh Canada, my home and native land!

Subject:Student Congress...
Time:10:12 pm.
Dear students of Niskayuna,
You do not have nearly enough school spirit. Enough of this individuality nonsense we need to band together as a school to celebrate how stupendously incredible we are. We plan to do this through a series of fun activities.

1)Hold weeks where we as a student body dress in a similar fashion to promote school spirit. For example we'll have a dress up week and a dress down week. Since we already have a senior slop week dress down week will consist of wearing nothing at all.
2)The full blown party of a sleep over in the Blatnick Gym! Sleeping on the sanitary gym floor with hundereds of your peers in skanky pjs while being carefully monitored by a panel of our finest Niskayuna staff.

Can't you just anticipate the lasting memories and bonds that will be made?

That is a whole cake container of cupcakes, there are probably about 50ish of them.
I think that being a keebler elf would be fun because they get to bake cookies inside of a magical nonflammable tree. Except for the whole working for nabisco thing.
We have more than 10 kinds of sprinkles. I didn't even know they existed until today.

Being insanely happy for no apparent reason beyond having sprinkles is amusing.
